Alex Joseph Scharff has been practicing criminal defense in Texas state and federal courts, in misdemeanor, felony, and federal trial and appellate courts. He is a member in good standing with the Texas Bar and licensed to practice in the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. He also has much experience in fighting Texas and federal civil and criminal forfeiture cases. He has practiced in all four corners in Texas---from Brownsville to Gainesville, El Paso to Texarkana. He has defended people in federal courts in San Antonio, Del Rio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Lubbock, Tyler, Marshall, Corpus Christi, Laredo, New York City, Miami, Nashville, Memphis, and Tampa. Moreover he has argued appeals in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, as well as in the Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, Austin, and San Antonio Courts of Appeals. Recently he argued before the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. He also represents people in parole matters as well as in post-conviction matters and writs of habeas corpus. He is a member of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. He is a formidable advocate because he is well versed in the law and is recognized as a worthy trial lawyer.

Jury ordered probation in Intoxication Manslaughter, Intoxication Assault, Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
