Amy is an associate attorney at the Jean Brown Law and a native of San Antonio, Texas, where she grew up in Terrell Hills and attended Incarnate Word High School. After high school, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio. During undergrad, she interned at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office and then attended St. Mary’s University School of Law to obtain her Juris Doctorate. During Law School, she worked at Cox and Smith in San Antonio. She began her legal career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting cases from misdemeanors to felonies. When she left the DA’s office, she was a Felony Family Violence Prosecutor. She left the DA’s office in 2010 to enter private practice to defend people accused of crimes and litigate complex Family Law cases. As a defense attorney, she has successfully defended a wide array of cases with several acquittals on cases ranging from assault to drug possession to aggravated robbery to murder. As a family law attorney, she has litigated a myriad of complex issues. Amy is a member of the Texas Bar Association, The San Antonio Bar Association and serves on the Domestic Relations Advisory Board.
